How did God call you to DCPI?

After 30 years of various pastoral ministries, I found myself at home caring for my two teenaged kids after the loss of my wife. Those two years proved to be invaluable to our healing and developmental process. Then, a close friend, who had been on staff at DCPI planted a bug in my ear. He said they had a need in an area he felt I was strong. When the time was right I gave it up to the Lord for Him to decide. That can be a dangerous thing to do if you’re not prepared for the outcome. God has been good and I have now joined a great team at DCPI.

What is your personal vision statement, or life scripture?

  • Personal vision statement:
To fulfill God’s purpose for me in my own generation. Acts 13:36
  • Life verse:
“He must increase, I must decrease.” John 3:30

What excited you about what God is doing around the world?

Everyone needs something bigger than themselves to get involved in. Training leaders to plant 5 million dynamic churches is the most exciting thing I can think of to be a part of. God is bringing people together from different nations, people groups, denominations and life stories to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world. God is helping us at DCPI to network with leaders from all places of the globe to reach people that nobody is reaching.

What miracles have you seen God perform?

While I have been amazed to see the Holy Spirit perform incredible miracles that have brought wholeness to people both in their physical bodies and in deep emotional places, too, His work that astounds me the most is seeing Him draw people into His presence, helping them discover the life-changing love of Jesus, and watching their lives (and the lives of their families) be changed for eternity.
