How did God call you to DCPI?

I originally became acquainted with DCPI in 2011 when I inquired about an open position.  I had the privilege to do a phone interview with Mark Williams.  After learning that the position involved raising financial support, my wife and I didn’t believe the timing was right to pursue the position because we were taking care of her ill parents.  Fast forward four years to June 2015, with my wife’s parents now in Heaven, I felt led to inquire again about any openings with DCPI.  I wasn’t aware of any openings but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask.  Apparently, as He tends to do, God had all the details worked out for me to be a part of DCPI and I was invited to join the staff in September 2015.

What is your personal vision statement, or life scripture?

  • Vision statement: “Be used of God to bring people to Him.”
  • 1Tim 2:3-4 “This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

What excited you about what God is doing around the world?

It is extremely exciting to see that God is using DCPI to train indigenous leaders to reach their people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What miracles have you seen God perform?

One miracle that is most special to me is His use of me to start a church.  Even though many told me that I would not be able to start a church in this particular town, God proved them wrong.  During my twelve years as the pastor of this church, I witnessed God do great things in the lives of many people and answer many prayers.
